Gladiator x Robigus
Newly Recommended by the HGCA for the East region in 2013/14, Delphi is a high yielding Group 3 wheat for the UK, export and distilling markets. Delphi has short, very stiff straw. It also has the benefit of excellent disease resistance, is OWBM resistant and shows good tolerance to drought.
Recommended – Early Sept
Latest – Mid Feb
Seed rates depend on time of sowing, prevailing conditions and rotational position.
Delphi has slow primordial growth and short straw and is suitable for early drilling. Delphi performs well in all regions and on all soil types, showing particular promise as a second cereal and as a slow developer, for early sowing.
