Istabraq x Robigus
Monterey is a high yielding quality wheat for the UK biscuit and export markets. It has good disease resistance, particularly to Fusarium. It is also OWBM resistant. Monterey performs particularly well on heavy and fen soils.
First Wheat – Good
Second Wheat – Good
Recommended – Mid September onwards
Latest – End January
Monterey stands well but responds to a full PGR programme. It is earlier to ripen than Invicta.
