really pleased with yield had to watch the Brown rust but above average barn full. did about the same as Propino 2 years ago. not moving commercially as going for seed. Merchant told me to watch lodging but had no issues with it

Breeder Comments

Odyssey is a very high yielding spring malting barley with very good resistance to disease. Odyssey has good physical grain characteristics with a high specific weight and very low levels of screenings. Odyssey has a high hot water extract and is a non-GN (Glycosidic Nitrile) producer making it highly suitable for both brewing and distilling.

Growth Habits

Odyssey has a good disease resistance package with very high ratings for resistance to mildew and Rhynchosporium, the main spring barley diseases. Odyssey has a similar straw length to Optic combined with good lodging resistance. It has very good brackling resistance and is slightly later than Optic to ripen.
