The highest yielding 2-row. Will suit Northern feed barley growers who don’t want a hybrid. The shortest barley on the UK List and rather dirty for disease.
Although it is short it can lodge so a good PGR is advised. Weak on all of the major barley diseases (but better than KWS Cassia and Saffron for mildew and Rhynchosporium) so a robust fungicide program is recommended. It is a variety which always delivers! High yields but relatively low specific weight.
