Breeder Agronomy Notes
ZE 95-2355 x Chablis
Tybalt has excellent resistance to mildew, the rusts and Septoria tritici with moderately long straw. Tybalt is HGCA Recommended for both late autumn and spring sowing, offering greater flexibility in drilling date.
Recommended – Late Autumn
Latest – Mid Spring
Tybalt is a moderately tall strawed variety; autumn sowings respond well to the spring use of plant growth regulators. Tybalt has excellent resistance to the main wheat diseases – mildew, yellow rust, brown rust and Septoria tritici – and is superior to most other spring varieties in this respect.
